Liv has a particular interest and passion for inspiring young children to be enthusiastic and confident readers and writers from their very first weeks in school.

Liv facilitates writing workshops in schools, author visits, book swaps, and the renewal and investment in reading resources in infant (EYFS and KS1) and junior (KS2) schools.

Liv has also organised large-scale schools visits to theatre settings during book festivals for high-profile speakers including Sir Lenny Henry, Michael Rosen, Benjamin Zephaniah, Cressida Cowell, Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Simon Armitage.

In a voluntary role, Liv is has been a school Governor since 2018.

As a result, Liv has an Enhanced DBS and is fully up to date on Safeguarding in Education as well as OFSTED requirements. She has also led on:

• Pastoral support and strategic guidance for the Head and Senior Leadership Team
• Leading on the school’s wider engagement with the community, including parents, nearby schools, community groups and the Council
• Target setting and monitoring around writing, reading and phonics for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
